Helps the formation and development of the Mediterranean Model Forest Network

ICALPE was sought by the Junta de Castilla y Leon in Spain, to assist in the achievement of the Mediterranean Model Forest Network, through the International Model Forest Network (Canada). Since the initiative began in 2006, ICALPE therefore provides assistance to the region of Castile and Leon for the strategic process of establishment and development of the Mediterranean Model Forest Network.

ICALPE has contacted to this effect with several regions of Mediterranean Europe and several countries in the southern and eastern shores, to involve them in the draft, prepared and facilitated the meetings until the signing of the MoU in June 2008. ICALPE thereafter continued to provide assistance consultant to the region of Castile and Leon for the development of the network.
