Objectives

The overall objective was to increase the capacity of regions and partners involved to understand the challenges of sustainable development in marginal areas such as rural exodus of young generations, mismanagement and the loss of natural and cultural resources the difficulties of small local businesses to remain competitive in the market.

 

PARTNERSHIP

For partners of Lapland, Alentejo and the mountains of Trentino, working together was a way to fight against marginalization.

The project is divided into several sectors on key issues for sustainable development in marginal areas of Europe such as:

  • Sustainable Tourism
  • management quality,
  • participatory management of rangelands multiple
  • cooperation,
  • relations between cities and rural areas
