A meeting has been organized with the responsible of the Municipality of Moratalla, one among the partners of the "VILLAGES" project which has been potentially preselected by the Selection Committee of the ENPI-CBCMED programme.

This meeting allowed to be introduced to all the persons who will be locally responsible for the project management (download press release here).

The subject of the project concerns the transfer of know-how in the Mediterranean for the sustainable development of local communities in less favored rural areas" ; ICALPE is the lead partner of this project which gathers partners issuing from Lebanon, the Palestinian Authorities, Sardinia, Tunisia, Egypt, Greece and finally Spain with the Municipality of Mortalla.

During its next meeting planned mid-December, the Joint Evaluation Committee will have to approve a series of preselected projects by the Selection Committee. The decision of the JEC will be than transmitted to the European Commission in view of an interservice consultation. The final results of the project evaluation will only be disseminated to the applicants after this consultation.
