These associations, according to the French law, are gathering funds and not people, usually in large areas which management have a public interest. The owners of the funds are gathered into a public organism which has the responsibility to manage sustainably the whole territory.

Since 2003, Icalpe is working for the development of this kind of associations in Corsica. Indeed, it is a good solution for the management and valorization of territories which are often abandoned because of small and divided properties within a rough mountainous and Mediterranean environment.

Today, this work is going on with the beginning of the official public procedure for the creation of a new association in the municipality of Riventosa.
